Usually unclear.: Prostate atrophy is not an easy diagnosis to make unless you have had a prostate biopsy showing atrophic tissue. This condition is most commonly seen in patients who take antiandrogenic medication for prostate cancer, but can happen after severe prostatic infection, blockage, or blood supply problems to the prostate. If you are having difficulty fathering a child, see a male infertility expert.
