Depends: Every situation like this is unique. It depends upon the exact type and position of the cyst. Many cysts found on scans are not a cause for concern---in fact, many people have them and never are aware if it because they have no need for the scan in the first place! the important thing is to talk to the doctor who ordered the scan about what is causing it and if there needs to be any concern.
