Discuss with the doc: Consult with your surgeon. There are a lot of involved factors to consider. When was the surgery? Are the toes fused well? Did you have an injury following the surgery? Did you go back to wearing shoes too quickly? ... Generaly though rest, elevation, oral antiinflamatory medication, and use of comfortable shoes with an adequate toebox will help minimize the pain.

How long has it been: How long has it been since the surgery? It is normal to have some pain for a few days or even weeks after surgery. Is the swelling under control? Usually antiinflammatories are a good way to help with post op pain in addition or as an alternative to pain pills.
