Why is it high: I would be curious to find out why your pulse rate is high to begin with. A resting heart rate more than 100 BPM is not normal and warrants investigation.

Correct cause: You have to get in better health and better shape so that it is safe for you to give blood. Find out what may be causing your heart rate to be high from your doctor and work on correcting the potential causes.
