See a TMJ specialist: I would consider a dentist or a TMJ specialist. With a normal ear and a normal throat (where pain can refer to the ear), the likely source is your jaw either from grinding it or from dysfunction of your jaw joint (tmj).

Consider these : Several other possibilities, one rather rare but conceivable. Of course, could be referred pain from temperomandibular joint or alternative dental etiology, but, if you experience severe intense steady pain, like you are describing, it may be "nervus intermedius neuralgia", and if your sense of taste is altered on the same side, that is your diagnosis!

TMJ, TMJD or TMD: Most ear pain is not caused by an inner ear infection or neuralgia. If ENT ruled out ear condition, TMJ dysfunction more commonly is the culprit. See your dentist to discuss possible causes and treatments of your problem.
