What should i do if i think i have just been exposed to poison ivy?

Wash & steroids: Thoroughly wash the skin with warm soap and water. Carefully remove clothes which may have been in contact with the plant and contain urushiol oil on it which can contact your skin. Thoroughly wash clothes in detergent. Apply 1% hydrocortsone cream to contact areas 2x/day for 4 days. If at any point in this period skin becomes itchy, red, blistered then call md as need prescription meds.
