Can't say. : Surgery may be the most appropriate option depending on the size and location of the kidney stone. Depending on the chemistry of your urine, medications and dietary modification may help prevent further stones from forming, but your doctor should help determine whether your current stone can be passed without intervention, if lithotripsy is possible, or if it requires surgical removal.
