Get restested: As a new adult, you'll learn to live with slight uncertainty. The new rapid tests are probably at least 99% sensitive once the virus is established, which may be several weeks after initial exposure. I'm more concerned about what "signs" you have -- new infection is an actue 'flu-like illness, the signs of advancing HIV infection familiar. You owe it to yourself now to get a definitive test.
