Epididymitis: Antibiotics start to work almost immediately, but it may take several days to notice a significant difference in the infection; that's why the course of treatment is usually ten days. Abstaining from sex & having partner(s) treated r equally important. Cold compresses, scrotal support, & nsaids can help relieve pain & inflammation. What antibiotic r u taking?

Few days max.: Depends upon infecting organism ( I am assuming chlamydia or gonorrhea based on your age) and extent of infection.
