Can hiv+ person drink alcohol?

Maybe: It depends on the degree to which a persons immune system is suppressed & if active liver disease is present (ie. Active hepatits b or c). It also depends on if the hiv+ person is taking HIV medication. Many HIV medicines interact with the liver & excessive drinking could interfer with these therapies. Always report your drinking habits with your doctor. Excessive alcohol intake is never healthy.
