Needs evaluation: This sensation on the throat (called globus in medical terms) can be due to many causes being one of the most common gastric acid reflux. It is likely unrelated to the headaches. I would suggest that you seek formal medical evaluation.

Infection : Most commonly this is due to a viral infection. However other bacterial infections are possible as well as other causes. You should see your primary physician to get checked out.
