Shampoos and cream: Seborrheic dermatitis is an inflammatory disorder of the hair, ears, eyebrows, and nasolabial folds. It is caused by numerous factors including altered sebum, malessezia overgrowth, and overactive immune system response. Nizoral, (ketoconazole) t/gel and t/sal shampoos are useful. Topical steroids and antifungals can help control as well.

Fungal: This is considered by some to be the skin's response to a normal fungal resident on the skin when it gets oily. Usual Rx including low-potency hydrocortisone or an antifungal cream.
