What causes urine to smell?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Urine odor: Normally urine doesnt have a smell. If you are very dehydrated, the high concentration of ammonia can cause a smell. Other factors like asparagus, certain vitamins can make the urine smell as well. If your urine smells sweet, have your doctor make sure that you don't have diabetes.
