What are the reasons for pain in left side of back without any injury?

Very Vague Symptom: Back pain can have many causes. Higher up in the rib cage can be related to lungs or muscles and bones; moving downward the kidney, pancreas and spleen become possibilities. Lower down toward the hip can be muscles as well as colon(diverticulitis). This is not a comprehensive list, and without additional information a guess would be as good as an expert opinion. Get seen if it continues.
