No: These claims are made up by people with agendas to frighten others and sell their own "alternative" products. And the public wants to be deceived and frightened. I've worked around cancer scientists for decades -- if a common component of a cosmetic were a mutagen / inducer, that scientist would have their reputation made for a lifetime.
