Is it associated : Due to stress related to cardio i think you are experiencing smell hallucinations, do you have any other symptoms associated with it ? Like visual changes , head ache , losing control etc if no other obvious reason is present like infections, than it could be related to brain or heart conditions talk to a doctor as soon as possible.

Nasal Sensitivity: When you exercise you are breathing in tremendous volumes. Your nasal lining becomes sensitive and you may be picking up the scent of the cleaning solution in the cardio studio. Try another venue.
