Miconazole: Topical antifungal used twice a day and continued for 10 days after all skin manifestations of infection have cleared is the recommended treatment. The rapidity of clearance will obviously depend upon the severity of the condition, the organism causing it and its sensitivity to miconazole, your immune status and a variety of other variables. Be patient.

Topical therapy: That depends! if it is a superficial fungal infection you may see response in a few days; if you are using it on severely inflammed athletes foot it may take weeks and if you are using it on a nailbed infection it may take months. If you are not seeing the response you wish, ask your doctor what else may need to be done to treat the infection.
