Diclofenac: Voltaren is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication. In pill form, it is used to treat inflammation (arthritis, muscle injuries, sprains, strains, etc.) a topical gel form is also available for the treatment of arthritis. Voltaren also comes as an eye drop, also to reduce inflammation (commonly after cornea or cataract surgery). The generic name for voltaren is diclofenac.

NSAID : Voltaren is a non steroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID) in the same class as Motrin of advil (ibuprofen). It has been marketed as one that is stronger and one that doesn't irritate the stomach lining as much as others, however chronic use of any NSAID can lead to gastritis and potentially ulcers.

Diclofenac: A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) taken to reduce inflammation and as an analgesic reducing pain. It is similar to Ibuprofen and Naproxen but is the most potent nsaid.
