Hair Loss: Dandruff does not cause hair loss. A good prescription dandruff medication is prescription Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo. Hair loss can be caused by medications, stress, thyroid disease, genetics, anemia, hormones, surgery, pregnancy, and others. See your dermatologist for help with a cause of your hair loss.
