Yes: Diabetes insipidus is the inability to concentrate the urine, usually caused by a problem in the pituitary gland. As a result, patients urinate excessive amounts of fluid and become dehydrated. They must compensate by drinking large amounts of fluid. It doesn't matter if the fluid is cold or hot. The long term treatment is to take a medication (such as ddavp) that concentrates the urine.
