Scalp Psoriasis: There are a few medications for scalp psoriasis. Relief, but not cures. Tar shampoos (t-gel, tarsum, dhs-tar) and several prescription shampoos containing cortisone derivatives, such as clobex shampoo. Derma-smoothe fs, taclonex, and more are available. Very pricey and you need a prescription from your doctor to get them. Best luck!

Yes: There are many prescription cortisone/steroid shampoos, foams, and creams. Some older tar produscts can still be used. Sunlight may also help. I have not found over the counter shampoos or topical medications to be very helpful for definite psoriasis in the scalp.
