What are the causes of soft stool?

Normal life?: Soft stools are considered normal. Hard stools are not normal. Watery stools are called diarrhea. If one's stools are getting too soft, more information and a visit to her primary care doctor will help. Also helpful is making changes in one's diet, writing down the food/drink changes, writing down the stool's appearance after the changes, and showing the information to the doctor.
