Yes: You may ovulate before you have a menstrual period but with no menses for 6 months you should be seen for labs and possibly ultrasould work-up. It's a long time to not have a period after birth control has been stopped for 6 mos.

Persistent cyst?: Please see you gynecologist. You should be having regular menses by now. She/he needs to determine what is the problem. Generally we recommend intercourse every other day during your fertile period to maximize the odds of pregnancy.

See REI for testing: No period means you're not ovulating (releasing an egg) every month. We need to find out why: polycystic ovarian sydrome (pcos), thyroid or prolactin issues, aging of the ovary (low egg numbers), or low hormone levels (hypogonadism). See a reproductive endocrinologist for tests / treatment to help you conceive. You can still get prego with no period if you ovulate once. Sex 3 times a week is ok.
