?rectocele: What you describe sounds suspiciously like a rectocele--a weakness or bulging of the rectal wall into the vagina, often causing some partial obstruction to passing bm's. Ask your gyn doc to check for this, as it is often easily fixed, or see a colon & rectal surgeon to address both the hemorrhoids and possible rectocele.

Rectocele: Sphincter muscles do not bulge - period. The symptoms you are describing are most consistent with a rectocele. I would urge you to get a further evaluation by a gynecologist or a colon and rectal surgeon.
