I am diagnosed with gastritis after having symptoms like giddiness, nausea, bloated upp. abdomen. after taking antacids, i had diarrhea. is it normal?

Yes depends on type: Some common antacids contain aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide/simethicone and this can cause diarrhea.If the diarrhea becomes bothersome talk with your doctor. You can try tums(calcium carbonate) product used to treat minor gastric problems without causing diarrhea but watch for constipation. With both products drink plenty of water. See your doctor if not better in 2 weeks. Take care.

I've been preacribed Lansop Unicorn 30 for Gastritis a week ago. But my symptoms still stay the same and I am feelig unwell.Burning sensation in upper abdomen, nausea, back ache. Feeling bloated and uncomfortable. Loss of apetite.
I've been eating healthy but continue with persistent nausea, gas, and loose stools. Stools are brown but formless resembling aerated soil and sinks rather than floats. EGD, blood tests, CT scan, X-rays all normal. Diagnosed with mild gastritis.
2 days I felt pain in my upper abdomen,burning,swollen,and back pain. I had diarrhea and nausea as well. dr gave me omerprazole. But is it gastritis?
Is it gastritis or an ulcer? I have sharp middle/lower abdominal pain that is worse after I eat and at night with nausea and diarrhea.
