Not necessarily: If your back or other parts of your body crack while stretching normally, it's fine. Do not push yourself farther than your normal range of motion. If you are trying to crack your back/neck/etc to alleviate pain, this is something an osteopathic physician (D.O.) or chiropractor can help you with. It is much safer to have a trained professional diagnose and treat you properly for joint pain.
