Unlikely, but check.: Rod is not 100% effective, so you can always check a pregnancy test. Also, there are many types of rods. In the U.S., there are two intrauterine devices for the uterus (mirena (levonorgestrel) and paragard) and one implantable rod for the arm (nexplanon). If the problem is bleeding, this may be why your doctor put you on the pill - to add more estrogen to stabilize the uterine lining. Hope this helps.
