Migraine: If symptoms last between 15-30 minutes and completely resolve this is most likely an ocular migraine. If there is a headache afterward, it is considered a visual aura as part of a classic migraine event. If this is the first time you've had such symptoms, see an internist or ophthalmologist.

Vitreous separation : Or PVD are a common cause of transient blurring of the vision and spots. The problem is that these symptoms can also precede retinal detachment which can leave you blind. So, the most important thing is to get the eyes examined. Remember, up to 15% of patients with such symptoms may have retinal tear or detachment.
