How can i manage my baby's cold?

Saline, bulb suction: Over the counter cold medications should not be used for infants. The safest approach is saline nose drops and gentle bulb suctioning for thick nasal mucus if it is causing nasal congestion. If the cold is not better within 10 to 14 days or seems to be worsening, then consult with your pediatrician.

Nasal saline: Avoid all cough and cold medications in infants. Nasal saline with bulb suctioning and a humidifier are the only things that help much. Watch: http://www.Youtube.Com/watch?V=acgjy--goje for more.

Cold: Baby's colds can be distressing to the parents. We're going through one in our 10 month old right now. Hydration is the key! if breast fed baby, keep on breastfeeding or even increase it. Fever is by far most concerning symptom. If not high, and baby is tolerating it well, no need to bring it down. If not doing well and it's over 101.5f, acetaminophen/ibuprofen can be tried. Avoid aspirin.
