Antibiotics: You likely have folliculitis, an inflammation of the hair follicles. Minocin (minocycline) or doxycycline, prescription antibiotics, are often helpful but can take several months to be fully effective. You can also ask your doctor for a prescription of topical Clindamycin solution. You can try a tar shampoo like t-gel by neutrogena. Best to see your dermatologist.
