Celebrex (celecoxib): Celecoxib is the generic name for celebrex (celecoxib). It is a cox-2 inhibitor of the NSAID type and has been developed to help treat many types of arthritis syndromes and also other: rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute pain, dysmenorrhea and familial adenomatous polyposis. A cox-2 is less likely to irritate the gastrointestinal system and used in people with GI risks.
