Contact dermatitis: Sounds like an allergy or skin sensitivity called contact dermatitis. It is sometimes difficult to figure out what may have caused this. You may try an over the counter mild Hydrocortisone cream, but just be careful not to get it in your eyes. If it doesn't resolve in a day or two, see an ophthalmologist, dermatologist, or your internist.
