Either possibility: Your one sided pain can be indicative of a sinus infection on that side, an infection from a tooth, a toothache or non descript muscle or nerve flare up. So many possibilities and so few are good. I am truly sorry you hurt but if you know you have some cavities visit the dentist first or if you have great teeth motor to the medical doctor. In either case, safe travels.

Physician\Dentist: Set up an appointment with a physician to see what's going on. You should also see your dentist to see if there are any dental problems brewing. The sooner you get these things checked out, the sooner you will feel better.

Rule out a toochache: You can see you dentist, and with a simple examination and a x-ray radiographic evaluation he can rule in or out a tooth being the source of your pain. Often, the dentist can simply diagnose a tooth problem, and if it is not, can direct you to the appropriate specialist to determine the source of the your pain.
