Gastritis: You may have gastritis. This is an inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It can be acute (occuring for a short period of time), or last for months (chronic). The causes are many, and can include taking too many nsaids such as Aspirin ibruprofen or naproxen, drinking alcohol, or extreme stress. It can also be caused by an infection in the stomach (h pylori bacteria). See your pcp to determine.
