Only if you had it: If you were accurately diagnosed, then you have it for life.Jia/jra is a clinical diagnosis based on inflammation of the synovial cells lining the joints that can be seen as joint swelling much of the time on exam. Kids never "outgrow" jia/jra-tjhey have it for life, even as adults with flares of arthritis (not ra). Having a positive rheumatoid factor(rf) means nothing for kids. No true blood test.
