Laser: Are you trying to treat--acne scarring? If for acne scarring, fractional co2 laser would give better results but it's much more expensive and there's healing time involved. You need to see a very experienced doctor to avoid undesired complications.

Predictable laser: A co2 laser is a good choice for acne scarring because it produces a wound to the skin that the doctor can set to a particular depth and thermal level. I feel that the results are much more predictable. You will have about 1 week of downtime before being ready for the public with the co2 fractionated laser. Also, the laser can cause skin tightening to rejuvenate as it heals.

Usually laser: If you have caucasian skin, the laser is the better choice. If you have oriental or mediterranean or african-american skin, the co2 laser can have a higher chance of pigmentation issues, and the derma-roller may avoid this problem.

Depends...: Depends on what you're treating for and how fast you want results. Fractional laser will generally get much better results with a single treatment. It will cost more and have more downtime. Micro needling (derma roller) will take more treatments to get similar results, but costs much less and has less downtime. Both work well for acne scarring. PRP can be added to get better anti-aging.
