See doctor first.: Constipation is when the bowel movements are firm or in hard balls. If their bm's are soft, it's ok if they don't have one every day.If they've already been checked by their doctor to make sure there's no narrowing of the anus or the end of the large intestine, they're eating well, & growing well, the doctor may suggest a little water between feedings. If bm's are still hard, the doctor will advise you.

See doctor first: It is important to have the twins checked by their doctor first. Constipation is not frequent in 3 month old children, and to have both twins constipated is most unusual. Has there been a change in breast feeding or a change in diet by adding solid food? Do the babies get water besides breast milk or formula? If breast feedings have stopped or solid food added then this is the probable cause.

Prune or pear juice: Take 1 oz water and mix with 1 oz prune or pear juice. This is safe and works often. Give once or twice per day. If not working, call your doctor.
