Habit forming: Dormicum, or midazolam, is a short acting benzodiazepine most commonly used for preoperative or procedural sedation. It is not a good drug for chronic use, and the risk of benzodiazepine dependence is high after as short as two weeks. There are better choices for chronic anxiety, or for sleep.

As few as possible: I didn't know what dornicum is, if it is Midazolam as stated in a previous answer, then you should use it as sparingly as possible. It is a highly addictive medication and if you have been on it for some time, then you should be gradually weaned off it. There are many valid uses for these medications, usually in a hospital setting. A few details on why you are on the medication would be very helpf.

Limit use: Dormicum is the brand name for Midazolam (versed). It is an uncommon drug to us as an outpatient because of its short half life. Usually diazepam (valium) or Lorazepam would be prescribed. Otherwise i agree with dr. Agarwal's reply.
