Details?: If this is continuous, a physician office visit is in order. If this is the transient knife-like pain in the chest wall that many of us experience sometime on breathing in, and there's no other sensation to suggest something more troublesome, it's probably "stitch", a fold in the pleura, and may often go away on a deep breath.
