Yes: A flickering in your vision could be due a serious problem with your retina. See an ophthalmologist for evaluation.

Vitreous changes: Any new onset of light flickering or floaters should be evaluated by an ophthalmologist to make sure there is no retinal tear forming. Light flickering is a symptom of the vitreous pulling on the retina.
