Does a boil have a type of core how do i tell its drained?

Boil: Boils do not really have a core. It is more a big nodule of pus and inflammation. If the lesion is draining, it should reduce in size and pain and should gradually go away. If not, it may need to be opened more or you may need to take an antibiotic.
