What causes a high eosiphil count?

Allergies: Eosinophils are intended to fight parasitic infections such as worms. In the us these infections are much more rare. Thus, the eosinophils usually get involved when there is an allergic reaction. You could still have a parasitic infection, but your doctor should be able to help you to better determine the likely suspect.
