Lunesta (eszopiclone): Hi sherrnance. The recent study did not find that Lunesta (eszopiclone) causes cancer, only that those who take sleeping medications had a higher statistical rate of cancer. If you can get better sleep with lifestyle factors such as exercise, good nutrition, stress management, and good sleep hygiene that is always healthier. Poor sleep also has its risks. Everything must be weighed in your med decisions.
