Don't fret: At about a year a child's eating habits begin to change. The reason is that children stop growing at the rapid pace which they did during the first year and as a result need less calories. Don't fret. Let you child graze when it comes to mealtime.

Have family meals &: Scheduled snacks at the table, model good eating habits, put a tbsp./ year of age of each healthy food on her plate & don't nudge. Limit milk & milk products to 16/21 oz./day & juice to 0-4 oz./day from an open-mouthed, 2-handled cup with meals; offer water between meals. Discontinue bottles & "sippy" cups. See a pediatric dentist. Read "how to get your kid to eat, but not too much" by satter.
