VHR? : Realize specialties all have their own abbreviations. Vhr can mean something different per specialty. If you are asking about after an open ventral hernia repair -- your diet does not need to change, but there is an exception. Weight loss/obesity. Abdominal weight is directly related the rate of recurrence for ventral hernias. Diet should be such that it is a healthy diet preventing weight gain.
