Follow up culture: You can go for a repeat culture two weeks after onset of scarlet fever.

Not usually necesary: Universal sensitivity to penicillin and penicillin related antibiotics makes the routine followup of scarlet fever unnecessary in most cases. Persistence of this erythrotoxin producing germ would be easily identified by a return of the rash and symptoms. Followup culture would only be recommended for recurrent symptomatic illness, .
