See below: It sounds like the skin is becoming macerated from heat and perspiration. Try using an antifungal spray and changing your socks part way thru the day.

Pitted keratolysis: Cotton socks can help. You can try soaking your feet in warm water and tea bags (like lipton tea), then apply lotrimin (clotrimazole) which is an over the counter medication. If still problematic see a podiatrist for a prescription. The condition is caused by a bacteria which will also cause a bad smell. Yes, even though its a bacteria, the antifungall med is effective.
