Ricola! No, really.: If this is related to a simple upper respiratory tract infection, then i recommend an over the counter throat lozenge. They have mild anesthetic properties that will soothe a sore throat. Easy peasy. If the throat pain is persistent or if you have been a long term smoker or suffer from gastric reflux problems, you may want to see your doctor for further advice or referral to a specialist.
