Get it looked at: Anytime somithing inside the knee causes irritation, the knee will swell. This is called an effusion. Effusions are not normal in a normal knee. At your age the two most common causes are a meniscus tear or some early cartilage damage. If it persists, you should see a md and get weight bearing xrays and likely a mri.
