Tremors: Is shaking only when hands are in motion or even at rest?. Several causes exist, such as essential tremors, drug-induced, parkinson's, systemic disease, psychogenic (such as stress or lack of sleep), fatigue, too much coffee, low blood sugar, overactive thyroid. Worth getting evaluated to rule out medical causes. Most likely, yours is essential tremor & can be effectively treated.

Essential tremor: It is also known as benign familial tremor since it runs in families and doesn't get as bad as other problems like parkinsons. Anxiety, caffeine and stimulant meds can make worse. In addition to beta blockers like propranolol, treatment with Primidone and Klonopin (clonazepam) have been used. Keep active as exercise helps. While people find alcohol slows initially, this should be avoided as it often leads to addiction and makes worse in the long run.
